Khlong Toei Community Youth Futsal Tournament

Khlong Toei Community is considered one of the most densely populated communities in Bangkok and suffers from a lack of comprehensive infrastructure and public utilities development. As a result, this area has become a social blind spot, often leading to criminal activities and serving as a hotspot for drug-related issues.

Children in the community have been deprived of crucial opportunities in many aspects including education, sports, and the ability to reach their full potential. Violence, family problems, and drug abuse continue to obstruct their path to a brighter future. Moreover, many officials and personnel find it difficult to access the community, leaving Khlong Toei lacking in development, quality of life improvement, and the creation of positive initiatives. This gave rise to the DEK-United Project, which aspires to transform these crises into new opportunities for the youth.

Through the football sports activity, children will learn teamwork, leadership, and perseverance, which are essential skills both on and off the field. This activity not only helps improve physical fitness but also instills the spirit of sportsmanship and a determination to improve oneself, enabling them to grow into capable individuals ready to face future challenges.

The purpose of initiating this project is to provide children in the community with opportunities to play sports and participate in futsal competitions. We have observed that many children in the Khlong Toei community possess great potential in sports, but still lack proper support. Therefore, we aim to encourage and support them by creating opportunities to engage in constructive and creative activities.
